KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Head of Workers Union in Civil Service Com-mission (CSC) Ali Al-Tuweijiri says there is a possibility for rise in unemployment in the coming years, revealing that approximately 20,000 individuals are waiting for employment and this number is increasing every year, reports Al-Rai daily.
He warned of a spread of unemployment among the Kuwaiti citizens, imploring for quick solutions in this regard by studying the labor market and coordinating with Kuwait University and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training for discussions and solutions.
He said this matter should not be neglected, stressing the necessity for applying the Ministers Council’s decision to refer those individuals who spent more than 35 years in service to retirement.

He revealed that some top officials in CSC, who spent more than 37 years in service, are still employed, adding that it is essential to apply the law equally in order to give opportunities to the young generation to prove their abilities and competencies for the development of the country.
Meanwhile, he expressed frustration over the negligence of CSC over some excesses, demanding for solutions regarding the issue in order to facilitate the work of the employees and transactions of the reviewers.
