Moussa said at a news conference all Arab disputes might be resolved at this summit, and expressed his hope that the talks and negotiations would be in depth. Moreover, he stressed that solutions should be "found to end those skirmishes, for there is no time to waste." The league chief indicated that he had presented to the Arab leaders some notions for tackling the Arab-Arab disputes after Kuwait summit that took place last January. Moussa added that he had received "many responses" to what he had presented.
Moussa also stressed on the importance of Arab reconciliation on stable basis and solving the problems from their "roots".
He denied charges by Amnesty International that the league supported the Sudanese president in his standoff with the international community over alleged genocides in Darfur.
The secretary general indicated that it was difficult to re-build Gaza Strip due to the siege by Isreal, and called for financial aid for Iraq to enable it restore stability and its role on the Arab arena.
