“Our glory and will can only be achieved through adherence to the values and principles of Islam as well as its justice which is derived from the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah (the Prophet’s sayings),” he said while receiving the 2007-2008 report on the King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue here Wednesday night.

The King described as “ essential” the center’s cooperation with government and non-government sectors, and its work with people of other faiths and laws.

Sheikh Salih Al-Hussein, President of the Affairs of the Holy Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque, thanked the King for his commitment to the center, praising his directives for their valuable contribution to promotion of national dialogue.

“King Abdullah is a man of dialogue,” said Al-Hussein. “He has succeeded in gathering political and religious figures around this concept, paving the way for stability in the world and a sharing of common human values.”
