The meeting will revolve around a holistic assessment of the Arab peace initiative, Palestinian-Israeli talks and Jewish settlements, Moussa told reporters.
"A date is being set for such a meeting through consultations among Arab countries," he said.
Arab diplomatic sources predicted that the meeting could be held at the Cairo-based Arab League in June; possibly to be preceded by a meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee.
The meeting will be held in line with resolutions made during the recent Arab summit in Damascus, the sources, said, making it certain that its aim would be to assess and review the Arab peace strategy.
