Regarding incidents taking place in the border areas of Yemen and Saudi Arabia, the Committee in a press statement on the conclusion of the meeting here yesterday, unanimously confirmed the need to maintain Yemen’s integrity, unity, and stability with non-interference in its internal affairs. It reiterated that the Arab countries are able to handle their own affairs.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani.
The emergency ministerial meeting expressed concern over the latest retreat noticed in the position of the United States regarding Israel’s settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Committee also considered Israel’s settlement policy as a serious impediment to achieving a just peace, stressing the need for the US to continue its position that called for complete suspension of Israeli settlement policy in the occupied territories.
