The first murder took place a few years back when a labourer and a maid killed a Bahraini woman, while the second occurred in 2006 when a cook killed his sponsor’s daughter for criticising the food cooked by him.
The murderers in the first case have been executed, while the second case is still in court, as the Bangladeshi embassy is considering imposing tough penalties on Bangladeshi workers for breaking laws.
According to a local newspaper, the victim was the father of three daughters. The eldest is 13-year-old.
The Deputy Chief of Public Security, Brigadier Tariq bin Daina, said that the victim was 38-year-old and died after sustaining serious neck injuries when the murderer attacked him with a grinder.
Brigadier Bin Daina said that the case has been referred to the Public Persecution.
