The demonstrators took to the streets in the village of Dair, located on the northern coast of the Muharraq Island, and the northwestern village of Diraz on Tuesday.

A similar demonstration was also held in the northeastern island of Sitra.

The Saudi-backed regime forces used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the demonstrators.

Protesters also called for the downfall of the repressive Al Khalifa regime.

Anti-regime protests in Bahrain continue despite the heavy-handed crackdown by the regime forces.

Bahraini demonstrators hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for the killing of the protesters during the uprising that began in February 2011.
