Speaking to KUNA, the Kuwaiti minister, who leads his country’s delegation participating in the meeting, said the gathering would revolve around how to prop up economic, technological and environmental cooperation among Arab and African countries.
He unfolded that Kuwait would present a working paper to the summit on Kuwait’s role in economic and social development in Africa.
He said Kuwait sees that Arab-Afro cooperation could be beefed up by means of giving a bigger and more active role to the private sector and civil society organizations in this respect.
Kuwait has promoted its cooperation with African countries at both official and unofficial levels through charitable institutions and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), which has extended aid and loans to all African nations, Sheikh Mohammad noted.
