Organised by the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) and the National Media Council, the three-day event held from January 4 to January 6, called in its recommendations for increasing exchange of news among Arab countries to work out a common Arab approach on latest terrorism issues.
The event emphasised the vital importance of confronting attempts to link Arabs and Muslims with terrorism.
The symposium called for creating a media observatory to monitor coverage of other media outlets about terrorism and compile a yearly analytical report.
A common Arab strategy is needed to polish the image of Arabs and Muslims before the public opinion.
