Before the opening session of the Second Conference of Institutes of Public Administration and Administrative Development, Al-Zayani said in a speech that among the internal challenges is to maintain energy sources, planning for the future, facing a future lack of food and water sources and finding suitable employment opportunities for young people.

He pointed out that the regional challenges are represented in the negative attitudes of some neighboring countries and the peace process in the Middle East, while the international challenges are represented in the threats of international terrorism, organized crime and the proliferation of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

Al-Zayani added that the GCC vision lies in the achievement and preservance of prosperity, and provide appropriate opportunities to achieve personal ambitions for the people of the GCC countries and the implementation of programs to ensure equal opportunities for all in education, health, social services, employment as well as finding a safe and stable environment.

The secretary General said that in order for the GCC countries to achieve this vision they must give priority to three main pillars; namely security, creativity and flexibility.
