Speaking to reporters, Sheikh Jaber said that the state’s tasks had to be performed even if the country was preparing for the National Assembly elections.
Regarding those to be given the citizenship after the cabinet forecast endorsement, Sheikh Jaber stated that the lists include widows and divorcees in addition to several military personnel and those who served the state.

On operations to combat buying citizens’ votes, Sheikh Jaber affirmed that the ministry was doing what it could to prevent such illegal acts.

The minister also discussed with reporters issues such as offering financial privileges to interior retirees, and allowing expatriates born from female Kuwaiti citizens to be included in the interior force. The Interior Ministry is continuing its preparations for the upcoming elections which would hopefully result in what is good for Kuwait and its people, said Sheikh Jaber.

The Interior Minister patronized yesterday the certificate awarding ceremony for the 34th Interior Officers class and the 19th class of Special Duty Officers at the Police Officers Club.
