The document signed by Qatari Prime Minister and former Minister of State for Internal Affairs from 2005 to 2013 Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, proves that the Qatari government has allocated a budget from its oil revenues to the Al-Jazeera channel.
The document revealed by Yousef al-Husseini, a prominent media figure, dismissed the Qatari government’s claims that it doesn’t support Al-Jazeera financially and doesn’t decide its policies.

Al-Jazeera is a Doha-based state-funded broadcaster owned by the Al Jazeera Media Network, which is partly funded by the House of Thani, the ruling family of Qatar. Initially launched as an Arabic news and current affairs satellite TV channel, Al Jazeera has since expanded into a network with several outlets, including the Internet and specialty TV channels in multiple languages.
