Sheikh Mohammed made the disclosure at a Ramadan ghabqa in the diwaniya of Kuwaiti ambassador to Qatar Ali Al-Haifi Friday evening and said the sky is cloudy within the region, due to military movements that indicate a possible attack against Iran at any moment.
He pointed out that HH the Amir, with his wealth of political experience, knows the depth of danger surrounding the region right now. He affirmed a foreign agenda to destroy the region with the struggle to break the society into conflicting components.
He cautioned that some people are trying hard to export bitter sectarian activities emanating from the Iraqi experience to Kuwait and the rest of the region.
He added a foreign agenda is also working toward the destruction of Kuwait, “but we are not worried because of the level of safety and security here, besides the superb relationship the leader and his citizens enjoy “.
Meanwhile, the general decline in the country’s politics, economy and sports standards is summarized in one word by Kuwaiti Olympics shooter Fuheid Al-Dehaini who recently stated the gun HH the Prime Minister had ordered for him would take six month to be made, based on the required specification, reports Al-Qabas.
Disappointment
Al-Dehaini via his personal Twitter account has expressed disappointment over the deterioration of sports in Kuwait, over and above inadequate support given to athletes. He disclosed the Kuwaiti athletes-unlike other Arab and international athletes, are not getting official support from the concerned authorities.
He went on complaining about Kuwait Airways Corporation’s non-cooperating attitude toward the Kuwaiti delegation to the 2012 London Olympics.
He reiterated the KAC did not even allow the athletes to carry excess luggage.
He explained that many athletes from other countries receive support from companies, while Kuwaiti athletes received no official support. He asked whether KAC would have incurred any significant losses if the company had offered the delegation seats in the Business Class, given that they were going to represent Kuwait in the Olympic Games.
Al-Dehaini revealed he could not carry an additional rifle, even though he was required to use specific rifles in the two categories of shooting he participate in, indicating each rifle weighs 17 kg and he could not carry a third one as he traveled by Economy Class, besides his luggage of clothing.
