Exclusive exhibition on Iranian capabilities in Oman
Holding of the exhibition is aimed at implementing trade policies in an effort to promote non-oil exports. The exhibition will be open up to January 10.
The exclusive Iranian exhibition in Muscat will provide a proper opportunity for the active service-production-export companies to be present in Oman’s market through export of products and services or making investment and joint cooperation.
The volume of Iran-Oman trade is over $20 million annually and the figure is expected to increase in future.
A 16-member economic and trade delegation of Oman visited Iran in October with an aim of becoming acquainted with investment opportunities, Iran’s capacities and capabilities and development of trade and economic exchanges.
Iran and Oman are seeking development of trade and economic relations within the framework of joint economic commissions and it is expected that under the 11th government further expansion of bilateral cooperation will be witnessed.
Formation of Iran-Oman Commercial Council for development of cooperation between private sectors of the two countries, establishment of Iran’s trade center in Oman, joint cooperation between coastal guards, opening of a bureau for economic cooperation of Oman in Bandar Abbas, presence of Iranian companies in Omani tenders and operation of direct airline between Shiraz and Muscat are among major issues implemented within the framework of bilateral relations between Iran and Oman.
