Footage shows Bahraini forces firing teargas canisters at protesters

The video showed military vehicles in the streets of the suburbs of the capital Manama firing teargas.

Activists also released pictures of several people injured in the attacks.

People in Bahrain have been staging anti-regime demonstrations since mid-February 2011.

Meanwhile, Bahraini human rights activist Abdulhadi al-Khawaja is not in good condition after he went on a hunger strike in jail nearly three months ago, reports say.

Khawaja is serving a life sentence after he was accused by Bahrain of plotting to topple the Manama regime.

Family members and his lawyer have accused authorities of blocking visits and telephone calls.
