The Civil Defense supported by the Royal Commission’s fire protection units worked for 90 minutes to control and douse the fire.
The driver is believed to be a Filipino, aged 37. He suffered burns and was transferred to the emergency department of Al-Mana hospital, where he is being treated in intensive care.
The fuel station where the fire took place is located near the industrial area and close to electrical facilities.
Some security and traffic patrols and the Royal Commission’s industrial security team participated in securing the area around the station, redirecting vehicles and pedestrians to safety.
They worked under the direct supervision of the director of Jubail’s Traffic Department Col. Saud Al-Otaibi, Director of Security Patrols Col. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, and Head of the Security Patrols Division Maj. Turki bin Humaid.
