"The unfair economic embargo on Gaza Strip led to curtailment of fuel supplies to the enclave, thus forcing UNRWA to suspend the movement of its vehicles amidst the looming a humanitarian crisis for the Palestinians," Al-Atiyyah pointed out in a statement issued here.

The GCC chief urged the international community shoulder its responsibilities and act immediately to put an end to "shameful and inhumane" Israeli practices against the Palestinians.

He warned of the grave consequences of the ongoing Israeli aggressive policies.
"The Israeli acts of mass punishment pose a threat to regional security and stability and undermines the international peace efforts," Al-Atiyyah asserted.

Meanwhile, he renewed the full support of the GCC members to the Palestinian people in their struggle to regain their legitimate rights and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
