GCC chief welcomes common Gulf market

Describing the announcement as ‘historical,’ Al-Atiyyah reiterated in a press statement that it came in harmony with targets and aims stipulated under GCC Basic System to enhance the bonds of cooperation between member states and realization of full coordination and integration in all fields to fulfill the aspirations of the GCC Citizens including equal treatment in transference, residence, work, investment, education, health and social services.

The establishment of The Common Gulf market will contribute to enhancing the economies of GCC member states in the light of the International developments which require closer integration that will strengthen their negotiation stance and competitive capabilities in the Global Economy, he added.

The Common Gulf market will provide new opportunities for investments, transference of capitals, equality in customs dealings as well as benefiting from the expansion of the available potentials for marketing, production and export on equal footing for National companies in all GCC member states, Al-Atiyyah concluded his statement.
