‘GCC officials agree on following up Gulf region development resolutions’

He told the press after the conclusion of the third meeting for the GCC ministerial committee assigned to follow up on GCC resolutions that some resolutions regarding the bolstering of relations between Kuwait and its GCC counterparts should go through parliament before being approved, affirming that coordination on this matter would continue.

The GCC Secretariat would continue efforts on developing cooperation amongst GCC states, said Roudhan.

GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah said on his part that resolutions of the meeting would be referred to the 12th consultative meeting for GCC leaders to be held in Riyahd on May 11th.

The resolutions would deal with legislations aimed at developing the sectors of education, environment, security, society, and others in the GCC region, said Attiyah.

He went on saying that obstacles regarding the development of economic ties would be focused on during the meeting and hopefully issues would be resolved before the GCC summit which would be held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
