In remarks to Al-Sharq Qatari newspaper, he said media in Kuwait did not represent the government, but rather the people.
The recent increase in number of newspapers did not bother the government, but was viewed as a new asset, he further stressed.
He emphasized that Kuwaiti affairs were regulated by the constitution and national laws, highlighting that the legislative and executive authorities should cooperate with each other on all issues.
In addition, he expressed his hope that the new members of the National Assembly would cooperate with each other for the interest of their constituents.
The minister said that the issue of allowing establishment of political parties in Kuwait was being studied, and also pointed out that Kuwait had several political movements already active.
