Haniyeh, in a statement after meeting with the President and members of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) expressed his happiness to visit the State of Kuwait and meeting His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He said he reviewed during his meeting with the KCCI officials economic conditions experienced by the Gaza Strip as well as the future needs of the Palestinian people.
He also briefed the KCCI officials about housing, infrastructure, business and agricultural projects in which the Kuwaiti private sector can assist to help the Palestinian people in general and Gaza-Strip residents in particular.
He said that he felt a great keenness that was expressed by the KCCI official to help the Palestinian people through the Kuwaiti private sector in order to alleviate their suffering as a result of the Israeli blockade and aggression.
For his part, KCCI Chairman Ali Al-Ghanim welcomed Haniyeh’s visit saying that the Palestinian people have demonstrated to the whole world the meanings of struggle and sacrifice and have proven that liberation cannot be achieved without them.
