Recent events give momentum to Kuwait’s OC, as corruption allegations accusing members of the Kuwaiti ruling family of embezzling billions of dollars – which have been denied by all of the accused – have been gaining steam since the beginning of 2014.
An arrest CAMPAIGN targeting the Muslim Brotherhood components within the OC is likely; moreover, the repeated dissolution of parliament since 2006 and corresponding voter fatigue, alongside stalled foreign investment and legislation will probably increase support for expanding the power of parliament at the expense of the ruling family within the three-year outlook.
