The Secretariat, based in the Iranian capital Tehran, sent to the parliaments of member countries a memorandum, the copy of which was sent to FNC. The FNC statement is attached with the memorandum.
The FNC statement objected to the Iranian actions on the Island and said that the setting up of two offices by Iran on the Island was illegal and a flagrant violation of the 1971 Memorandum of Understanding which doesn’t give Iran the sovereignty over the Island or even parts of it.
