Jahangiri made the remarks in an invitation letter to Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani to pay an official visit to Iran.
Iran’s Ambassador to Doha Mohammad Javad Asayesh, in a meeting with Qatari Premier on Wednesday afternoon, submitted the letter to him.
In the letter, Jahangiri underlined the expansion of bilateral relations between Tehran and Doha.
Al-Thani, for his part, referred to the friendly ties between the two countries, and expressed the hope that he would visit Iran in an appropriate time.
Both Iran and Qatar have recently augmented efforts to further expand ties and cooperation in all the different political, economic, defense, security, judicial and cultural fields.
The two Persian Gulf littoral states recently signed several protocols to increase mutual cooperation.
Jahangiri in a message to al-Thani in December said Tehran was resolved to promote bilateral relations with Doha.
In his message, Jahangiri extended his congratulations to the Qatari premier, nation and government over the country’s national day, and underlined the need for the development of all-out ties between the two friendly nations.
