It’s our duty to protect our brethren from danger: Saudi King

The message was conveyed by Minister of Interior Prince Muhammad Bin Naif in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Wednesday.

The leadership has confidence that citizens will protect religious principles, security and stability in a world which is in turmoil due to conflicts and partisanship, Prince Muhammad said.

He said King Abdullah stressed that the Kingdom’s efforts and its stances and decisions on the serious challenges the Arab region and Arab brethren are facing emanate from the pure Islamic creed away from partisanship and loyalty to none but Islam.

This is our religious and moral responsibility to protect the stability of Arab countries, repulse sedition and discord in society which only serve the interests of enemies who harborhatred and evil for the region and its people, said the King.

Prince Muhammad emphasized the keenness of King Abdullah for the unity and stability of Arab countries and the cohesion and cooperation of their people to ward off every danger. He said the Kingdom and its people will stand in the face of those calling for division with all determination and capability seeking help from Allah alone and then from citizens who uphold their national duties.
