Al Murr was speaking at the third meeting of the second ordinary session of the 15th legislative chapter of the FNC here on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour; Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; Dr Hadif bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice; and Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State.
Al Murr said that the UAE’s 41st National Day was celebrated by nationals and residents with great zeal and the celebrations spread all over the country reverberated the true Spirit of the Union as well as all means of loyalty and belonging to the wise leadership, homeland and for the glorious march of the union.
“This all reminds us of the founding fathers’ efforts, particularly of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, for the achievements in all aspects,” he noted.
He also referred to the President’s Absher Initiative, which is aimed at boosting the participation of citizens in the labour market and provision of decent living conditions to Emiratis.
He pointed out that other related initiatives of the President which are meant to fulfill the housing needs of the citizens, as well as his directives to provide social guarantees for citizens in cases of old age, disability of work, orphanhood, widowhood or unemployment in addition to supporting health policies aiming at directing financial resources to improve basic services for citizens.
Referring to the meeting of Chairmen of the GCC Shura, representatives, National and Ummah Councils in Manama last Saturday, he said that the meeting has succeeded in achieving its goals on the GCC level in the parliamentarian field and supporting the relentless efforts in unifying the bloc legislative system.
