The airline workers on Saturday joined around the 3,000 striking customs employees at the country’s ports and borders.
In October 2011, the carrier’s 4,000 unionized workers went on strike, also demanding higher pay.
The strike has seen the company and its subsidiaries lose an estimated one million dollars within a four hour period on Saturday.
The company said they held the Kuwaiti government responsible for the disruptions.
Kuwait Airways union boss Abdullah al-Hajri said the company went on strike "as a result of the negligence of the government for not fulfilling its promises or realizing the deal signed with the union regarding wages and increasing allowances of workers more than six months ago."
He added that the agreement had been signed by the minister of communication representing the government and the managing director of the airline.
