According to security sources the men were taken into custody in Nugra. They were riding in a Japanese car and the police ordered the men to pull over on suspicion.
Police then searched the car and found 100 bottles of booze. The booze and the suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, a Lebanese woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing a Syrian man of molesting her, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The incident happened when the woman was shopping inside a well-known complex. A case has been registered against the man.
In another development, an unidentified Kuwaiti man reportedly beat his wife and her sister following differences in the family, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to the complaint filed by the suspect’s wife with the area police station, the man inflicted serious injuries on his wife and also beat her sister when the latter tried in vain to shield the victim from her offender.
The medical report issued by the Adan Hospital shows the man’s wife is suffering from bruises and abrasions to her right hand and nose. The man will be summoned for interrogation.
