KCRS chief delegate Khaled Al-Zaid said this is the fourth such aid consignment sent to the war-torn country, stressing that Kuwaiti aid to Libya will continue.
Al-Zaid said that the latest consignment of aid is a donation from the Martyr Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad A-Sabah Charity Foundation, hailing the foundation’s support for Libyans.
The plane was due to touch down at Mersa Matrouh International Airport in Egypt, with the dates subsequently to be transferred across the Egyptian-Libyan borders at the Salloum crossing, in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Egypt and local authorities, he eplained.
The senior charity official hailed the instructions from Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah to operate the flight from the base, adding that the Kuwaiti leadership and people are keen to offer all possible support to Libyans.
