Speaking to KUNA, Al-Otaibi refused to comment on speculation in regards to this issue, hoping that Saudi Arabia would reconsider the two-term seat at the Security Council.
He affirmed that Kuwait respected the Saudi decision, but stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the UNSC was the best step to defend Arab and Islamic causes.
