Sources disclosed Kuwait’s State Security has received a document from its counterpart in the UAE, detailing procedures being taken against the terrorist cell. Sources said the document contains updates on the ongoing investigation into the alleged plot of the group to destabilize the UAE as part of its bigger plan to gain control of the entire region. Sources added results of the preliminary investigations showed the Kuwaiti Islamist MP have been travelling frequently to the UAE over the last few months and he was reportedly seen meeting some members of the terrorist group in Dubai.
It had earlier been reported that certain individuals from various countries have connived to fund the destructive activities of the group and they have purportedly ‘donated’ millions for this purpose.
Sources confirmed Kuwait will soon send a security delegation to the UAE to follow up the case and to ascertain information on the alleged involvement of the Kuwaiti MP and if there are other citizens involved in the destructive plans of the group or close to its members. Sources stressed Kuwait will take harsh measures against any of its nationals proven to be involved or affiliated to the group. Sources added another Islamist MP is aware of the plans of the group as his name has been mentioned in the investigations.
Meanwhile, MP Faisal Al-Mislem’s lawyer – Attorney Abdullah Al-Mislem – has vehemently denied allegations that his client interferes with the internal affairs of the UAE. He said the rumors circulating in social networking sites like Twitter were posted by some individuals who created fake accounts just to malign the lawmaker. He also hinted on his plan to file a lawsuit against those who have been fabricating stories about his client.
Moreover, several Kuwaiti MPs affiliated to the Islamic Constitutional Movement (ICM) have condemned the arrests made by the Emirati government, particularly the members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the UAE Mohammad Al-Rukun and Mohammad Al-Mansouri. MP Jamaan Al-Harbash considers this as a strange act between the leader and the ruled.
Commenting on the same issue, MP Adnan Al-Muttawwa asserted the people of Kuwait should not allow anyone to use their country as a getaway for the Muslim Brotherhood in the Gulf.
On the contrary, some parties claim the group’s condemnation of the act is just a bid to cover up the case. They said the entire Kuwaiti nation should unite against the ICM lawmakers and remind them that the Muslim Brotherhood chapter in the UAE had supported the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. They also warned that the Brotherhood is keen on instigating chaos to gain control of the entire region.
