She appealed to National Assembly candidates to avoid raising issues that could damage national unity.

At an electoral campaign symposium held at the home of Sheikha Al-Jassem held to discuss the formulation of a clear strategic plan on carrying out development projects, Al-Mubarak urged the development of
Kuwait’s health services.

She reminded that the last hospital to be built in the country was constructed in 1983 when Kuwait’s total population totaled 1.5 million, reported Al-Watan. Since then, the population had increased rapidly, she said, but the health service infrastructure had not changed for over two decades.

Blaming the decline in Kuwait’s health services on widespread corruption which she said should be fought by all Kuwait’s people, she pointed out that while the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait had both begun considering the building of a railway at the same time, the UAE was about to begin work on the project while Kuwait was still considering it.
