"All parties are convinced of the necessity to overcome the aftermath of last year’s unrest which affected the national fabric," Shura Council foreign affairs, defence and national security committee chairman Dr Saleh Abdulrahman said as he received British Ambassador Iain Lindsay yesterday.
He stressed the need for internal and external support to bolster efforts to cement unity and heal the social rift.
He highlighted the importance of exploring a local, consensus-based solution.
"Bahrain welcomes any support for these efforts, provided it doesn’t encroach on national stability," he said.
