The governor chaired the first meeting of the council as he affirmed that these councils were receiving the Royal interest of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. Mahmoud Bin Muhanna Al Kharousi was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the council through secret ballot.
The Health Affairs Committee, the Social Committee, the Legal Committee and the Public Affairs Committee were formed during the meeting.
In the Governorate of Musandam, members of the council took oath at the office of Wali of Khasab before HE Sayyid Khalifa Bin Al Murdas Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate. Sheikh Hassan Bin Mohammed Al Zarafi was elected as the Deputy Chairman at the council.
In the Governorate of Al Wusta, HE Sheikh Me’athad Bin Mohammed Al Ya’qoubi, Governor of Al Wusta and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate, chaired the first meeting of the council.
During the meeting, members of the council took oath before the Governor as Mohammed Bin Salim Al Harsosi was elected as the Deputy Chairman at the council.
In the Governorate of South Sharqiyah, HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mustahail Bin Salim Shamas, Governor of South Sharqiyah and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate, held a meeting on Monday.
Members of the council took oath before the Governor as Abdullah Bin A’amir Al Kasbi was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the council. A number of committees were formed, namely the Health Affairs Committee, the Social Committee, the Legal Committee, the Environmental Committee and the Public Affairs Committee.
In the Governorate of Al Buraimi, members of the council took oath before HE Sayyid Ibrahim Bin Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate. Mohammed Bin Sulaiman Al Azani was elected as the Deputy Chairman for the council.
In the Governorate of Dahirah, members of the council in the Governorate took oath before HE Sheikh Saif Bin Hamiar Al Malik Al Shihi, Governor of Dahirah and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate.
The council held its first meeting under the chair of the Governor as Ali Bin Abdullah Al Habsi, Director General of Health Service in the Governorate, was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the council.
In the Governorate of North Sharqiyah, members of the Municipal Council took oath before HE Sheikh Yahya Bin Hamoud Al Ma’amari, Governor of North Sharqiyah and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate.
Said Bin Saleem Bin Abdullah Al Kalbani, Director General of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources in the Governorate of North Sharqiyah, was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the council.
In the Governorate of North Al Batinah, the council held its first meeting under the chair of HE Sheikh Muhanna Bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah and Chairman of the Municipal Council in the Governorate. While members of the council took oath before the Governor, Ibrahim Bin Said Al Ma’amari was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the council.
