During the meeting the Committee resumed discussion on a draft law on the Advisory Council members’ election system.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Interior Affairs, H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
It was also attended by Major-General Dr Youssuf Abdullah Youssuf Malallah, Legal Advisor to the Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Colonel Salim Saqr Sa’eed Al Mereikhi, Assistant Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Interior Ministry and Lt-Colonel Abdul Rahman Majid Al Suleiti, Assistant Director of the Elections Department at the Interior Ministry.
The Committee decided to complete a study of the draft law at a future meeting.
