The talks dealt with means to further strengthen bilateral relations in all fields as well as several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The talks were attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahd al-Thani, Chief of Emiri Protocol, HH the Emir’s Secretary for Follow-Up Affairs HE Saad bin Mohamed al-Rumaihi, Director of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs office, HE Abdullah bin Eid al-Sulaiti, Qatar’s Ambassador to Algeria Ali Mubarak al-Nuaimi, and Director of Chief Executive of Qatar Investment Authority’s Office Mansour Ibrahim al-Mahmoud.
On the Algerian side, the talks were attended by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci, Finance Minister Karim Djoudi, and Director of Arab Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Abdelahameed Bu Zaher, and Director of Eastern Arab countries at the Foreign Ministry Abdul Karim Ziyani.
After the talks President Bouteflika hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the Emir and his accompanying delegation.
Later yesterday, the Emir was accorded an official farewell when he left Algeria after a short working visit. The Emir and his accompanying delegation were seen off at Hawari Boumedian international airport by President Bouteflika, president of the Umma Council Abdelgadir bin Saleh, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, president of the Constitutional Council Bu Allam al-Sayeh, a number of ministers, as well as Qatar’s Ambassador to Algeria Ali Mubarak al-Nuaimi.
