The talks were attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani.
The discussions dealt with bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in all fields in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour the Syrian president and the accompanying delegation.
Later the Emir led well-wishers to see off President Bashar al-Assad and his accompanying delegation at Doha International Airport. The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister was also on hand to see off the Syrian president.
