Qatari Cabinet nod to draft law on constitutional court

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani presided over the Cabinet session at the Emiri Diwan.

After taking note of the Advisory Council’s recommendations, the Cabinet also undertook the necessary procedures for the issuance of a draft law amending some provisions of Law No.4 of 1983 on the exploitation and protection of living water resources in Qatar and a draft law amending some provisions of Law No.24 of 2002 on retirement and pensions.

The Cabinet also approved a draft law amending some provisions of Law No.23 of 2005 organizing the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and defining its functions and decided to refer it to the Advisory Council.

It also approved a draft law organizing control over human food.

It approved a draft Emiri decision amending the management system of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and the Urban Planning and Development Authority.

It approved the inclusion of a representative from the Qatar Authority for Charitable Activities in the membership of the Qatar’s Permanent Emergency Committee.

The cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the security field between the governments of Qatar and Belarus.

It approved a draft agreement on cultural and technical cooperation between the governments of Qatar and Kazakhstan.

It approved a draft agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of financial evasion on income tax between the governments of Qatar and Croatia.

It approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the justice ministries of Qatar and Kuwait on joining the Global Legal Information Network.
