Rent dispute panel rules amended in Qatar

The Emir also approved the Cabinet Decision Number 40 of 2011 for amending some rules of the Decision Number 35 of 2010 on forming the rental dispute settlement committees.


He also endorsed the cabinet decision Number 41 of 2011 for amending some provisions of the Decision Number 26 of 2003 concerning the recruitment permanent committee.

Also yesterday, the Emir issued a ratification document approving a draft agreement concerning the mutual administrative assistance leading to the sound application of laws for preventing and combating crimes related to customs between Qatar and Sudan. The agreement was signed in Doha on June 8 this year.

Another document approving the ratification on an agreement struck between Qatar and Eritrea on avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income was also issued. The agreement was signed in Asmara on August 7, 2000.

Two other ratification instruments were also issued. The first one approved a draft protocol amending some provisions of an agreement concluded between Qatar and Singapore on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. The agreement was signed in Singapore on September 22, 2009.

The second one approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) concerning consultation between the foreign ministries of Qatar and Uruguay. The agreement was signed in Asuncion, Uruguay on August 18, 2010.

 HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday ratified the Cabinet Decision Number 39 of 2011 on expropriation of some real estate for the public benefit.
