Riyadh’s Court sentences a Shiite youth a suspended sentence of 13 years in prison

On 12 January 2014, the Riyadh’s Specialized Criminal Court handed out the Shiite youth "Mojtaba Ali al-Safwani", 18 years, from Awwamiyah town in Qatif, a suspended sentence of 13 years in prison.

Al-Safwani was arrested in June 2012, as pressure his cousin (Fadhel Hassan al-Safwani, from al-Awwamiyah town) to surrender himself to the authorities, and in September 2013, he was transferred from the guidance home for the juveniles in Dammam to the General Intelligence "Al-Mabahith Al-’Aamma" of Ha’ir al-Dammam.
