The Bahraini security forces on Tuesday surrounded several villages and towns around Manama and attacked the protesters, firing tear gas at them.
Several people were injured and one of them is reportedly in a critical condition.
In a similar incident on Monday, several Bahraini protesters were wounded during clashes with regime forces in a number of villages across the Persian Gulf kingdom.
The protesters have been demanding the downfall of the Al Khalifa regime which they hold responsible for the deaths of scores of protesters since the beginning of the popular uprising in February 2011.
A recent probe by Amnesty International into the government’s crackdown revealed that the regime forces in Bahrain have used "excessive and unnecessary force" against the protesters.
