Addressing the military cadres, Prince Salman conveyed to them the greetings of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Crown Prince Naif, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
Stability in the Kingdom, Prince Salman said, is due to the country’s application of Shariah and its adherence to the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Prince Salman also visited the headquarters of the command of the Joint Peninsula Shield forces in the Northern Region where he was briefed by Maj. Gen. Alozima on the work of Peninsula Shield forces and the tasks assigned to it.
Prince Salman also inspected a group of the King Fahd 6th Brigade in the Northern Region and various weapons associated with air defense. Maj. Gen. Tami Mahlawi and senior officials briefed the minister on the brigade’s mission and work.
Writing in the visitor’s register after inspecting the 6th Air Defense Group in the Northern Region, the defense minister expressed his appreciation for the group’s high morale, discipline, patriotism and loyalty to the homeland. He wished the group every success.
During his visits to different military sectors, Prince Salman was accompanied by Prince Jelawi Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province; Gen. Hussein Al-Qabil, Chief of General Staff, and a number of princes and officials.
