He added that the damage has affected all countries and societies particularly the consumer health and safety.
His remarks came during the opening of the Third Arab Forum on Anti-Commercial Fraud, Counterfeiting and Intellectual Property Rights Protection, organised by the Saudi Customs.
Saudi press agency, SPA reported that Al Assaf during the forum, which was attended by the Arab as well as a number of Middle and Near East countries, emphasised that setting an integrated strategy at the national, regional and international levels suits to combating this phenomenon through the cooperation from all entities on different levels in fighting all shapes and chains of fraud and counterfeiting mainly in the countries of origin, production, export, consumption, transporting and importing.
