The participants from the United States, Britain, France and other Western countries as well as the Middle East will discuss a global approach to Middle East security and to terrorism, the use of information technology by terrorist groups, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in war-torn Iraq.
The gathering, organised by Monaco-based Crans Montana Forum and Bahrain’s interior ministry, will also examine the security of oil and nuclear installations, securing e-commerce and controlling borders.
Participants include Ted Whiteside, who heads NATO’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Centre, France’s top anti-terrorist judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere and former British home secretary Michael Howard.
