Senior Saudi Shia cleric, Sheikh Hasan Saffar, condemned any insult to holy figures and faces of Sunni people.
The Shia cleric leveled criticism on any measures lead to dispersion and beckoned to the present situation of Islamic Ummah which is mired in extremist waves.
“From one way round, Islamic Ummah is suffered from Takfiri movements and from the other way round, grappled with the standing anti-Islamic waves target the holy figures and faces," said Sheikh Hasan Saffar.
The religious cleric called on Muslims and Islamic scholars to stand against such malignant attempts through delineating the historical issues in a bid to remove misunderstanding among Muslims from different sects and denominations.
Saudi member of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic schools of Thought went on to say Shia learned pundits and clerics severely slap down any Takfiri measures and deeds, counting them as moves running counter to Ahlul Bayt teachings and doctrines.
