xShaikh Mohammed was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
He autographed the museum’s guest book stating: “I am glad to see such a creative work that reflects the ability of Emirati women in various national fields. The museum is the fruit of an outstanding effort led by Dr Rafia Ghubash to introduce Emirati culture and heritage to visitors and tourists. Reviving women’s history is the revival of memory of our people. We support this innovative effort.”
Shaikh Mohammed, Shaikh Hamdan and Al Owais toured the museum, which exhibits the historic photos for the founding fathers and other national figures.
The Vice-President was briefed by Dr Ghubash, founder of the museum, about the old and rare photos of the founding fathers and national figures of that era. He was briefed on the old passports of prominent Emirati women during the British colonisation period.
Shaikh Mohammed also viewed an artwork demonstrating Emirati women and politics. It narrates the role of Emirati women in the local politics since 1819.

The artwork also exhibits Emirati women who have great impact in the UAE’s modern history such as Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Shaikha Hind bint Maktoum bint Juma Al Maktoum, wife of the UAE Vice-President.
