However, he thanked the Kuwaiti Students Union in Sharjah for following the issue from the beginning until his son’s remains arrived in Kuwait. He wondered why the Kuwaiti Embassy and the Consulate neglected the incident.
The victim’s grandfather thanked Allah that the crime is committed outside the country because there will be no place for wasta or favoritism.
He also said, “We lost our son but we are confident and trust in the security authorities and the judiciary of the UAE to solve the mystery of the murder.”
On the role of the Kuwaiti Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the grandfather said “these people are interested in occupying their positions but the people of Kuwait put their trust in God.”
In the same context, the friends of victim said when the victim’s aunt was in the UAE she tried to contact him over two days but found his cell phone switched off and on the third day while she was preparing to leave the UAE, she tried again and he asked her to send him money as soon as possible and that she promised to do so as soon as she returns to Kuwait.
MP Dr Obaid Al-Wasmi from the nullified National Assembly has called on the government to issue a clear statement on the circumstances which led to the death of the 19-year-old student Mubarak Meshal Mubarak since the people involved also are two citizens.
He said it is obvious the government was negligent in handling this issue.
