Suleiman noted that there are more than 5,000 foreign Wahhabi militants stationed in Southern Syria and another 5,000 militants are fighting against the government inside Syria.
The Syrian ambassador noted that the foreign terrorists have been trained by the US, Israel and their Arab allies in the region, adding that they are conducting their militants from the operation room in Jordan.
He said the first military objective of this operation room is conquering Daraa in Southern Syria in a move to march towards the Capital, Damascus, in a second stage.
Also in the past 24 hours, reports said the Saudi officials are seriously concerned about the possible return of 3,000 Saudi nationals who are fighting in Syria to Saudi Arabia.
The Time of London reported that the Saudi government has admitted that more than 1,000 Saudi nationals have gone to Syria for war.
Meantime, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Al-Nusra Front terrorist groups continued their heavy infighting in Hasaka province in Northeastern Syria.
The ISIL-Al-Nusra Front clashes erupted several days ago in different parts of Hasaka countryside.
Tens of militants from both sides have been killed and dozens more injured in the fierce battles which have continued for the several days.
Elsewhere, the Syrian army thwarted an attack by militants on Al-Rasafeh district in Deir Ezzur city in Eastern Syria.
Also, Syrian army units repelled militants’ attempted attacks on the locals in Khattab and Um Hartein villages in Homs countryside.
An army unit thwarted the attempt of militants to infiltrate from Abu Al-Rish village to Um Hartein in al-Makhram, Homs countryside, killing and wounding its members, as another unit repelled militants who sought to attack Khattab village and destroyed their weapons.
Meantime, Syrian army units on Monday targeted militants’ gatherings and dens in several areas around the country, where dozens of militants were killed.
A military source said that militants’ gatherings were destroyed in the villages and towns of Rasm al-Abboud, Jdeidet al-kweires, Ainjara and the vicinity of Aleppo central prison and in addition to a weapon and ammunition cache in Daret Ezza village in Aleppo province.
Also, a military source said that an army unit destroyed dens that belong to terrorists of the so-called ‘al-Motaz Bellah battalion’ in Atman town, killing many of its members including Mohammad Ghaleb al-Masri, a terrorist group leader.
The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and many others were injured in the vicinity of Daraa central prison, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Elsewhere, Syrian Kurdish fighters pushed radical militants out of the ancient town of Tell Brak in Northern Syria, after three days of fighting.
According to reports, Kurdish fighters from the Committees for the Protection of the Kurdish People (YPG) expelled all elements of Al-Qaeda’s al-Nusra Front, former Al-Qaeda representative in Syria, the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant, as well as militants from the Ahrar al-Sham armed group.
Tell Brak is a settlement mound in the Upper Khabur area in Al-Hasakah Governorate, Northeastern Syria.
Fighting in the area started on Friday after Kurdish fighters attacked militant bases in the town.
Capture of Tell Brak, located along a highway between the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli, by Kurdish fighters, is considered to be a significant advancement in securing the Northern parts in face of foreign-backed militants’ threat.
Meantime, the Syrian army repelled a militants’ attack on a strategic military zone in Daraa countryside in the Southern parts of the country.
The army pushed back the militants of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) who were trying to capture the army’s artillery unit in the vicinity of Navi town in Daraa countryside.
