Separately, al-Mahmoud held talks with African Union-UN Special Joint Representative in Darfur Mohamed bin Shambas.
The two meetings dealt with the progress of the Darfur peace process in the wake of the assassination of a number of Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) leaders who signed a peace agreement with the Sudanese government on the basis of DDPD.
The meetings were attended by a number of officials at the Cabinet General Secretariat.
