The three-day meeting will review the activities of the municipal bodies of the GCC countries.
"The relationship between government officials and the people”, "Qatari experience in municipal affairs", and "GCC general secretariat and its role in joint municipal authority" are some of the issues to be discussed on the opening day.
Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Mona bin Suhaim Al Thani and Hessa bin Khalifa Al Thani will be the other prominent personalities to address the meeting.
Jassim bin Mohamed Darwish, Secretary General, Municipal Affairs, UAE, Dr Ahmed Juma Al Khabi, Secretary General, Municipal Affairs, Bahrain and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sabeel, Director General, Municipal Affairs, Saudi Arabia, will address the various sessions.
The meeting will also feature a workshop where participants would discuss the possibility of setting up a common regulatory system for the municipal ministries in the region.
